Information Centers
ASC–TROLL

Throughout your course of study, you can find important information and numerous available services at our Information Centers in Erfurt (WIESEL), Ilmenau (ASC), Jena (INFOtake), Schmalkalden (TROLL) and Weimar (INFOtake). Here you can obtain:      

• an ISIC card, the International Student Identity Card (in Schmalkalden and Nordhausen, this must be obtained from the Department of Financial Aid)
• information about and applications for semester grants available in a particular city  (Erfurt, Ilmenau, Jena, Nordhausen und Schmalkalden)
• information about waivers or reimbursements of semester fees
• information about waivers or reimbursements of Semester Ticket fees
• information about and notifications for private accident insurance and liability insurance (notifications for statutory accident insurance can be obtained only at the Information Centers in Weimar, Jena and Ilmenau)
• BAföG applications: pick one up and then turn it in to be forwarded to the Department of Financial Aid (no counseling!)
• residence hall applications: pick one up and then turn it in to be forwarded to the Department of Student Housing
• a child ID card, which allows children of students to eat lunch for free in the dining halls
• informational material published by the Studentenwerk and its affiliated universities and colleges, as well as information about the opening hours of facilities run by the Studentenwerk, the universities and colleges, and your respective city
• assistance in finding and procuring a private room (except in Schmalkalden)
• announcements about job offers on the Internet
• co-payments for vaccinations required for internships (in Jena and Weimar)

At the Information Centers in Weimar, Jena and Ilmenau, you can also purchase tickets to events hosted by the Studentenwerk or your respective university or college.
