“Haus Rosenbaum ” Conference and Leisure Complex

Location

Haus Rosenbaum, our conference and leisure complex, is located in the resort town of Siegmundsburg in the mountains of the Thuringian Forest. Siegmundsburg has an altitude of 760 to 814 meters above sea level and offers in both summer and winter a charming landscape featuring diverse recreational and leisure opportunities.

This community along the Rennsteig (one of Thuringia’s historic nature trails) stretches 1.5 kilometers along Highway 281, between Neuhaus am Rennweg and Eisfeld, and is surrounded by meadows and coniferous woodland.

Description of the Property

Our lodge currently offers single and shared rooms with a total of 49 beds. All 18 rooms are equipped with central heating, showers and toilets. The house offers W-Lan.

Our restaurant has seating for up to 60 people. In addition to our half board and full board offers, you may also enjoy coffee and cake in our cozy “farmhouse parlor,” with seating for 25 people.

On warm summer evenings, we also offer a multitude of Thuringian specialties at our comfortable on-site grilling area.

Two seminar rooms of different sizes offer optimal working conditions for 20 to 40 people. Both rooms are equipped with modern office technology (flip charts, overhead projectors, bulletin boards, video projectors, TV and video).

Whether you’re attending a seminar, enjoying a recreational weekend or taking a family vacation, Haus Rosenbaum offers the ideal environment for a varied stay. We offer a multitude of opportunities for spending your free time.

Aside from our on-site activities, the town of Siegmundsburg offers a multitude of attractions, including a ski center, a bowling alley and hiking trails.

Not far from Siegmundsburg, you’ll find a summer toboggan run, the Rennsteig-Outdoor-Center and the oldest brewery in the Thuringian Forest.

Steinheid Ski and Hiking Lodge

Location

For recreation seekers and small student groups, the Studentenwerk Thüringen offers sojourns at the ski and hiking lodge in Steinheid.

The town of Steinheid is also located along the Rennsteig, about 4 kilometers away from Siegmundsburg.

In the area around the lodge, you will find: an asphalt track for in-line skating, a football field, a running track and a modern bowling alley in the Petersberg sports complex, directly next to the lodge.

The Rennsteig Health Center is only two minutes away by foot and offers many health and wellness activities.

The lodge offers space for up to 12 people to stay the night. Two bedrooms each with three bunk beds and a shower/toilet are available.

Tips for your stay and for using the heating system are hanging in the lodge.

Description of the Property

You are asked to bring your own supplies to the ski and hiking lodge. A rustic recreation room with a television and a practical kitchen facility are at your disposal. A grilling area is located next to the lodge.
