mensaVital

mensaVital is a project of the Logo mensaVitalProduct evelopment of the student unions. This meal course is our contribution to maintaining a healthy diet.

mensaVital Meals- Healthy Food for Body and Soul

  • a nutritionally balanced combination of ingredients
  • vitamin preserving and low fat preparation
  • uses high quality fats and oils
  • our contribution to the “5 a day” rule (campaign for 5 portions of fruits and vegetables a day)
  • carefully selected food (whole grain products, legumes, nuts, lean meat and crispy colourful vegetables)
  • fish, meat, vegan and vegetarian meals daily offered in proper balance
  • avoids deep-fried and breaded dishes
  • avoids excessively pre-processed dishes
  • fresh and natural ingredients
  • avoids any aromas and flavour enhancers
  • uses fresh herbs instead of seasoning mixtures
  • creative recipes with saisonal food
  • combines regional and international culinary influences

*One lunch portion accounts for the energy required for the midday meal of an adult (19-65 years old) with a sedentary job (physical activity level PAL = 1,4). (DGE Bonn; 2008, 1. Edition; Quality Standards for Company Catering; P.11)
