Day-care centre Campus Schmalkalden

The Studierendenwerk Thüringen and the Schmalkalden University of Applied Sciences, in cooperation with the district of Schmalkalden-Meiningen, offer family childcare directly on campus. One educator looks after up to five children aged from six months to three years.

Conceptual priorities

The daily activities are organized according to the needs of the children in a family atmosphere. The children are given new impulses and stimuli in a varied environment with few toys. Stimulating learning situations are created by exploring the immediate surroundings and by doing handicrafts and playing together, and the children are encouraged and supported in their growing independence.
