Kulturticket Jena

The Kulturticket Jena is valid for students at the Friedrich Schiller University and the Ernst Abbe University as follows:

You pay 4.25 Euros per semester for the Kulturticket together with your semester fee. For admission to events and cultural facilities without additional payment, you must buy tickets in advance at the sales points and show your student ID (thoska) card. Admission is only granted upon presentation of this admission ticket and a valid thoska card with ''Semesterticket'' written on it.

This Kulturticket does not include the " Philharmonieball ", the New Year's Eve concert, the "Lange Nacht der Museen", the dance festival "Theater in Bewegung" and the summer spectacle for the opening of the Kulturarena.

The following exceptions apply to the two art house cinemas:

• Valid from Monday to Thursday at the Kino im Schillerhof and the Kino am Markt, except on public holidays.
• There is no entitlement for sold-out performances, ticket reservations are not possible for Kulturticket events.
• Performances by external organisers are not automatically free of charge, but only if the organiser agrees. Exceptions are communicated on the websites of the two cinemas.

In addition, students with limited attendance time during a semester at the university may apply for an exemption or refund  Application for a reimbursement of the Studierendenwerk fee (in german) before the beginning of that semester.
