VMT ticket (Verkehrsverbund Mittelthüringen=Transport Association of Central Thuringia)

The semester ticket includes the VMT ticket for students at the Cooperative University Gera-Eisenach (only Campus Gera), the University Erfurt, University of Applied Sciences Erfurt, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, University of Applied Sciences "Ernst Abbe" Jena, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, and the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar.
Students at these universities can use all lines of the following transport companies listed in this document (see part 3, point 1 VMT tariff regulations and point 5.8 VMT semester ticket module).
Important exception: The VMT semester ticket is not valid for journeys by train to and from Bad Kösen. An additional ticket (VMT-Tarifzone 814, RegioTarif Preisstufe 1) is still required here.

According to the VMT fare regulations, point 3. inter-connected journeys, the VMT semester ticket is only valid for journeys whose start and destination as well as the entire route covered are within the inter-connected area or for which the VMT fare is recognised for the entire route. Otherwise, a separate, complete ticket (from the start to the destination stop) must be purchased at the local fare of the transport company used.

A combination of a VMT semester ticket and a house fare for one trip is not permitted.
