Dining halls and cafeterias

To ensure that students succeed in their studies, the Studierendenwerk Thüringen provides reasonably priced catering close to the university. The dining halls and cafeterias offer a wide range of food and beverages, which always meet the needs and wishes of the guests.
In addition, the facilities are also popular meeting places. Therefore, a visit to the "Mensa" (dining hall) is an indispensable part of student life.

Labelling of additives and allergens in the food offers according to the Zusatzstoff-Zulassungsverordnung (ZZulV) § 9 Kenntlichmachung / Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 (Food Information Regulations).
As daily changes in the offer are only displayed in the Internet menu with a certain time delay, we ask you to additionally inform yourself about the presence of allergens, additives and ingredients at the displays. When allergenic ingredients are used, they will be indicated.
Despite utmost care, however, we cannot exclude the possibility - technically unavoidable - that these substances may also have been added to other dishes.

"Mensa Dictionary"

The “Mensa Dictionary” accompanies three students on their daily way through the students' cafeteria. With the help of numerous illustrations, helpful information and vocabulary is provided in German, English, and Chinese.

Evaluation

At regular intervals, the Studierendenwerk Thüringen tests its offers and services. Students and guests are asked about their satisfaction and for suggestions for improvements as well as critical evaluations.
