To ensure that students succeed in their studies, the Studierendenwerk Thüringen provides reasonably priced catering close to the university. The dining halls and cafeterias offer a wide range of food and beverages, which always meet the needs and wishes of the guests.
In addition, the facilities are also popular meeting places. Therefore, a visit to the "Mensa" (dining hall) is an indispensable part of student life.

Labelling of additives and allergens in food offerings in accordance with the Additives Approval Regulation (ZZulV) § 9 Labelling / Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 (Food Information Regulation).
When allergenic ingredients are used, they are labelled on the menu and on site at the serving area for each dish. As daily changes to the menu are only displayed on the online menu with a delay, we ask you to also check the notices on site for information about the presence of allergens, additives and ingredients. We use the following allergenic substances in the preparation of our meals:
Cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, chicken eggs, fish, peanuts, soy, dairy products, nuts, celery, mustard, sesame, sulphur dioxide, lupin, molluscs.
Despite taking the utmost care, we cannot rule out the possibility of technically unavoidable traces of these allergenic substances:

Brew Bites (Treber-Protein-Chunks) in den Mensen: ein voller Erfolg

„Die Brew Bites (Treber-Protein-Chunks) in unseren Mensen einzuführen, war ein voller Erfolg“, zieht Cindy Jacobi, Leiterin Mensen und Cafeterien im Studierendenwerk Thüringen, positive Bilanz zu den Aktionstagen, an denen das Upcycling-Produkt aus Biertreber erstmals in den Thüringer Mensen (außer in Eisenach und Gera) als neue pflanzliche Proteinquelle angeboten wurde.

Mensa Ehrenberg trotz eingeschränkter Stromversorgung weiterhin geöffnet

Die Mensa und Cafeteria Mensa Ehrenberg werden weiterhin nur eingeschränkt mit Strom versorgt, der Betrieb ist dennoch sichergestellt. Nur vereinzelt kommt es zu Einschränkungen: An einigen Tagen können nur drei statt vier Gerichte produziert werden, zeitweise wird Einwegbesteck ausgegeben.

The “Mensa Dictionary” accompanies three students on their daily way through the students' cafeteria. With the help of numerous illustrations, helpful information and vocabulary is provided in German, English, and Chinese.

Evaluation

At regular intervals, the Studierendenwerk Thüringen tests its offers and services.
